The newest addition to Upper Deck’s high-end product lineup combines extraordinary imagery, minimalist designs for the purpose of showcasing the imagery, and a variety of card substrates and substrate combinations to deliver collectors a product that captures the best players on the planet – and the game itself – like you’ve never seen before! It also introduces a new rookie card that features imagery never seen on a hockey trading card, as well as a new and exciting opening experience! 2025-26 Tableau Hockey embodies all three Upper Deck’s core tenets: Authenticity, Innovation and Quality.

THE BASE SET
This highly-collectible set consists of 100 Base Set Veterans cards (standouts; at least 2 per team), 50 Base Set Stars cards (the top players in the world; at least 1 per team) and 30 Base Set Dark Ice Rookies cards. The Veterans and Stars cards are 40-pts. thick, numbered to 999 and sport the date and location (including venue) of each spectacular image. Additionally, the product name (including surrounding linework), player name and team name are presented in foil. You won’t be skipping past these cards in search of insert cards!
Each box contains, on average, four (4) Base Set Veterans cards and four (4) Base Set Stars and/or Rookie Watch® cards!
The parallel lineup of the first two subsets is extensive and features both monochrome (image background only) and true monochrome (the entire image) sets. There are three versions of each (Grayscale, Blue and Gold) and all are numbered, ranging from the Monochrome parallel numbered to 199 through the 1-of-1 True Gold Monochrome parallel. Collect, on average, five (5) numbered Base Set parallel and/or Shadow Portraits parallel (noted below) cards per box!
Dark Ice Rookies!
Get ready for the next big rookie card, and the next must-have rookie set!! Each 40-pt. card in the Dark Ice Rookies subset features a rookie-year “dark ice” action image (you’ll see what that means when you see one of these cards), is numbered to 100, and encased. Additionally, all text on these cards is presented in foil. That’s not all! Prepare to chase True Blue Monochrome (#’d to 10) and True Gold Monochrome (#’d 1-of-1) parallels!
THE INSERTS
Rookie Watch®
More great rookie cards! More amazing imagery! This set featuring the best-of-the-best 2025-26 rookies emulates the Base Set design, construction and presentation. This set also has the same parallel lineup as the Base Set. Keep an eye out for those 1-of-1 True Gold Monochrome parallels!
Matted Silver Border
This beautiful set features 65 of the top standout and star veterans, and the top 35 rookies, from the Base Set. Each 42-pt. card picks up the player’s Base Set image, which is printed on canvas stock and framed with a die-cut C2S top sheet. All rookie cards feature an “RC” designation and the text and intricate linework in the design are presented in foil. There are Gold Border (#’d to 50) and Black Border (#’d to 10) variations, as well as numbered True Monochrome parallels of all three – highlighted by the 1-of-1 True Monochrome parallel of the Matted Black Border variation. Collect, on average, one (1) Matted Silver Border card and one (1) numbered variation or parallel card per box!
Mounted Slide Relics
Each 60-pt. card in this set numbered to 100 boasts an outstanding action image printed on a PETG sheet that is encased within two die-cut C2S sheets to emulate the look of a mounted film slide. All rookie cards feature an “RC” designation. The checklist is the same as the stellar Matted Silver Border checklist. Look for one (1) of these cards per box, on average, and chase rare Silver (#’d to 50), Gold (#’d to 10) and Type Zero Black (#’d 1-of-1) parallels!
Shadow Portraits
This 50-card set sports an awesome shaded, chest- or shoulder-up side portrait of star veterans and top rookies. It’s the image and not much else, and that simplicity makes these cards stunning! Get your set started with two (2) per box, on average! When you open your box, look for an encased and hard-signed Metallic Silver Auto parallel (#’d no higher than 99). When you open your packs, look for Metallic Silver (#’d to 25), Metallic Blue (#’d to 10) and Metallic Gold (#’d 1-of-1) parallels!
Aspects, Dark Room, Imprints & Triple Exposure
Aspects is an all-horizontal card set boasting vibrant, full-bleed action images of 25 star players; Dark Room features a mixed 25-card checklist (star vets & top rookies) and action images with a red filter applied to mimic the look of a photo being developed in a dark room; Imprints also features a mixed star veteran/top rookie checklist, and each action image is overlayed with Tableau™ watermarks; each card in the Triple Exposure set boasts an action image with two subsequent images superimposed over the original. Collect two (2) cards per box, on average, from these four sets! All cards are 40 pts.
Plexi Variants
These 60-pt. plexi variations of the top standout/star veterans and rookies from the Base Set – all #’d to 65 – will be a huge hit with collectors! Each card from this set, as well as the True Blue Monochrome (#’d to 15) and True Gold Monochrome (#’d to 5) parallel sets, is encased.
Babineau Collection
This set takes the Base Set card of 50 top veterans and replaces the photo with one from the collection of legendary sports photographer Steve Babineau! None of the photos in this set have appeared on a hockey card previously. Each card back features a brief story from Steve about the player, the photo, or both. Each box will contain, on average, two (2) of these 40-pt. cards. Keep an eye out for Autograph parallels (#’d to 25) hard-signed by Steve himself, as well as all-metal Glossy Steel (#’d to 50) and Glossy Gold (#’d 1-of-1 and hard-signed by Steve) variations – all of which are encased!
Lenticular Variants
Another variation of the Base Set, but this time a mix of top veterans and rookies on 3-D lenticular stock! There is at least one player from each team. Collect two (2) of these cards from each box, on average, and look for encased Monochrome versions numbered to just 25!
Autograph
These sensational 40-pt. cards sport hard-signed autographs from top veterans and rookies. Each box contains one (1) of these encased cards! Look for True Blue Monochrome (Varied #’ing) and True Gold Monochrome (#’d 1-of-1) parallels!
Dual Autograph
These much rarer cards boast incredible star veteran pairings! And like its Autograph sibling, there are True Blue Monochrome (#’d to 5) and True Gold Monochrome (#’d 1-of-1) parallels! If you get an encased Dual Autograph card, you will have a massive hit in your hands!
Shutter Speed Signatures
More encased, hard-signed autograph cards! This varied-numbered set features left-edge to right-edge full-bleed action images manipulated to simulate movement. It also boasts a loaded checklist, including top rookies! Keep an eye out for Silver Spectrum (Varied #’ing) and Gold Spectrum (#’d 1-of-1) parallels!
